ln the past, you have likely either advocated or thought about advocating for yourself or others. Think about advocacy situations you have encountered in your life' Reflect on those situations and answer the following questions.

3. Enter your responses in- your journal entry:

a. Describe one of the most cahllenging or difficult advocacy situations you have encountered.

b. What Action, if any, did you take? lf you didn't take any actions, why did you decided not to act?

c. What were the ethical dilemmas of the situation that compounded the situation or the actions you did or didn't take?

d. After reflecting on the situation, do you think you would do anything differenfly now? lf yes, what? lf no, why not?

e. Apply an ethical reasoning strategy to this diffcult situation. Choose either the decision making steps outlined on pp. 429-430 and in Figure 11.1 (p. 429) OR use the "Ethical Principles Screen" on pp. 432-433.
