Art is a cab driver. One night, one of his customers, Bunny, shoots him in the neck during a robbery attempt. Art is hospitalized for several weeks. There are complications and Art is required to use a feeding tube. His doctors tell Art that although he will recover, he will never be able to speak clearly again. They are not sure when he will be able to discontinue use of the feeding tube. Art pulls out the feeding tube and refuses to eat. Art dies after several weeks because he has refused to eat. Is Bunny liable for his death?
