These two facilities were chosen because Advocate South Suburban Hospital is where I delivered my middle child at and they are an amazing hospital that catered to the surgical needs that was needed for my C-section as well as outstanding to the community but they both were view different in the community. Francian Health Olympia Fields was chosen because that is where I completed my bachelors internship at and they are one of the top hospitals that receive the most donations on a yearly basis in the surrounding areas.
Looking at both facilities and what they have done for the community, Today South Suburban Hospital is known for delivering advanced care close to home, while helping local residents stay healthy through screenings, support groups and senior services, but what was most important was that they treat every patient regardless of their ability to pay. And Francian Health Olympia Fields for The Volunteer Advocates for Seniors and Incapacitated Adults program (VASIA) which trains volunteers to become temporary legal guardians for seniors and incapacitated adults who are alone, in hospitals, hospice or other health facilities. I also had the pleasure of developing a healthy choices program for children in the community that did not receive meals daily. Both facilities have raised above and beyond the standards of charitable.
