Full compliance to NACE is highly recommended to control SSC, SOHIC, and CSCC. All vessels in the sour service shall be supplied in clean steel, vacuum degassed, normalized, fully killed and shape control condition to control HIC. The later requirement (shape control) shall be specified as mandatory requirement for severe sour condition when Sour service.
