There is a real possibility that Solar Thermal Electricity, because of the increasing ease of heat storage and the possibility of using it to produce liquid fuels, could actually disrupt one of the disrupters discussed in the Grantham Institute report, PV.

First, should we take the report by Carbon Tracker and the Grantham Institute seriously, i.e., is it credible?
Second, in your judgment, is the report overly optimistic, insufficiently optimistic, or about right in how fast the transformation into renewables will occur?
