There is a circular combined open and closed thin-walled

Problem 1 -

There is a circular combined open and closed thin-walled section as shown in the figure.

(R = 100mm, t = 2mm, Sy = 100N)

When shear force Sy is applied to Web 24, calculate:

a) Calculate Ixx for the x-axis using a thin-walled section approximation.

b) Calculate the distance to the Shear Center (e).

c) Calculate and plot the shear flow distribution (q(s) or q(Θ)).

d) Calculate the maximum shear stress and find the location.

Problem 2 -

There is a circular combined open and closed thin-walled section as shown in the figure.

(R = 100mm, t = 2mm, Sy = 100N)

When shear force S is applied to Web24, calculate the following.

a) Calculate Ixx for the x-axis using a thin-walled section approximation.

b) Calculate the distance to the shear center. (e)

c) Calculate and plot the shear flow distribution (q).

d) Calculate the maximum shear stress and find the location.

Problem 3 -

There is a U-shaped thin-walled open section with a radius of R and a central angle of 2π/3 with a thickness t.

a) Calculate Ixx for the x-axis using a thin-walled section approximation.

b) When the shear force acts on the center of the shear, represent the shear flow as a function q(s1), q(Θ) for each section.

c) Find the distance between Shear Center and point B. (e)
