There are two 100μF capacitors. One is charged to an initial voltage of 50V and the other to an initial voltage of 100V. They are then placed in series with the positive terminal of the first connected to the negative terminal of the second. The question isto find the equivalent capacitance and the initial voltage. Then find the energy stored in the two capacitors and the equivalent capacitor, respectively. Note: The latter will be smaller than the former.
