There are several issues that may rise from using a wiki

There are several issues that may rise from using a wiki. The first would be the validity of the information that is presented in the wiki. For many Wiki, just about anyone can place information of any type on it and try to say that it is true and unbiased. Of course the validity in many cases could very well be false. There are not any real guidelines or rules of ethics when using a wiki. The user can place anything they wish. Whether this be slander Another issue when using a wiki would be the ability to post private information or trade secrets of an organization or company. This would be a breach in information security and put much in jeopardy. This would have a big effect also on politics if someone wanted to leak false or even true information about a certain politician. As I have said before, there is no real set of rules regulating most Wiki. If a disgruntled team member or employee wanted to, they could give important information, or spread false information regarding the company. One policy that I would enact in my organization would be used in an information policy. Any employee that leaks personal or secret organization information will be subject to termination. Also, if an employee says that they represent the organization as a whole, they would also be subject to disciplinary actions.
