A) There are many transformation processes that convert inputs to desired outputs. The entire supply chain makes this happen. In today’s world a global supply chain is very common. What are some factors you feel would change when moving from a local supply chain to a global supply chain?
B) Layout design is very important in both manufacturing and service industries. In manufacturing the layout design can help or hinder the cycle time of products. One of our manufacturing processes has a certain test that the product must go through numerous times. The tester is currently set up several bays away from the flow line that the product is built on. This tester is used by other flow lines and therefore cannot be moved. What do you think a solution for a situation like this might be?
