There appears to be an almost magical transition that must occur for an entrepreneurial organization to mature and work efficiently with the men and women which dominate the world of big business. My question is can you identify that point where transition must occur? Would it be a benchmark achieved in sales or units processed? In regards to the divisional organization defined as “organizations may restructure to group all functions into a single division and duplicate each of its functions across all the divisions.” (Bateman 7 Snell, 2015.) As much as I do not respect the man because of his personnel politics I would argue that Warren Buffet would be the best living example of a corporate entity that successfully utilizes the divisional organization approach. My question is that in different statements it allows “focus on big picture strategic plans,” does the organizational overhead cost of legal, human resources excetra out-way a centralized approach as an organization exceeds a certain capacity say 20 different divisions with a total of over 100k employees?
