1. There was a Midwest flooding causing great destruction in 2008 which can be compared with the flooding of 1993
2. Study of climate and weather patterns during 1993 revealed large scale circulatory anomalies in the atmosphere or soil moisture in all parts of North America
3. The increasing moisture flow from the south and the drought across the South eastern United States proves the theory of the moving Atlantic subtropical ridge called the "Bermuda High"
4. Model study can be used for predicting floods
