It must have a thesis that is arguable and specifically identifies multiple ways in which the war affects the poems and its overall message/theme.
You will need to find research article about the poet and World War One that are relevant to shaping the poem. Must use direct textual evidence and then INTERPRET that textual evidence as to its purpose in proving your thesis ; stay in present tense. Work through the poem chronologically and you MUST use at least two primary quotes per paragraph. Each secondary source may be used at least once. Remember to document the sources properly.
