On September 17, 1787, the United States of America was forever changed by those who created and signed the U.S. Constitution. September 17th, known as Constitution Day, we celebrate the anniversary to honor the document that has given us our rights as U.S. citizens. It is important that we all take the time to understand the meaning behind this historic and monumental document. We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
