A 10-cm outside diameter by 6-cm inside diameter steam line made of steel (k=14 W/m c) delivers superheated steam at 1000 C. the line is wrapped with 10 cm of insulation (k=0.16 W/m C) Using convection heat transfer coefficients of 2500 W/m2 C for the steam side and 7 W/m2 C for the air side, and the ambient temperature as 30 C, find the total heat loss per m length of the steam line. Find also the temperature at the interface of steam and insulation.
