The system consists of a single mass of M = 1 kg having a spring constant k = 10 N/m with a damping ratio ζ that varies from 0 to 2.

1. Given a freely vibrating system, graph the outputs using Matlab where x(0) = 4 and v(0) > 0, v(0) = 0 and v(0) < 0, for cases where the system is under damped, critically damped and over damped.  There are 9 separate cases.

2. Graph the damped frequency ωd as a function of damping ratio ζ as ζ goes from 0 to 2.

3. a) Graph the response of the under damped system for the cases of an initial impulse and step function each having a magnitude of 5 where x(0) = 0 and v(0) = 0.

b) Redo part a) with x(0) = 1 and v(0) = 2.

Write your solutions in the form of a Matlab.M program file. Give me a hard copy of your code, test cases and graphed out results.
