The sum of the diameters of two circles is 2.8 m and their difference of circumferences is 0.88m. Find the radii of the two circles (Ans: 77, 63)

Ans: d₁ + d₂ = 2.8 m= 280cm

r₁+r₂ = 140

2 Π (r₁ - r₂) = 0.88m = 88cm

r₁ - r₂ =88/2Π = 88x7/44 = 2 x 7 = 14

r₁+r₂ = 140

r₁-r₂ = 14

2r₁ = 154 r₁=77

r₂ = 140 - 77 = 63

r₁ = 77 cm, r₂= 63cm
