The state of Michigan condemned many properties in a residential neighborhood on the border of Detroit knows as "Poletown", assembled a large parcel of land and sold it to General Motors to construct an automobile factory. The court upheld the taking of private property for the project. Use economic analysis to argue for or against the legality of these takings.
