Description
The SMS research project is a summative assignment in which you will prepare a fivepage written summary of your selected topic and prepare a print-ready electronic template for a poster presentation.
The topic to be explored is to be selected by you, posted to the Discussion Board, and approved by the instructor no later than September 26th. I strongly encourage you to select your topics prior to that date and to begin the process. This assignment may be submitted early.
Topics
You may select any topic that is of interest to you and is related to the course subject -safety assurance in an aviation safety management system. Frequently students select a significant air carrier accident as their topic - this is not appropriate for this course.
Paper
The written portion of the assignment is to be a five-page paper, formatted in APA style, summarizing your topic. The writing is to be in collegiate level, standard American English. I have posted an example template on Blackboard for you to review.
