Do you think there really is such a thing as an individual being autonomous? I often think of people who strive for complete autonomy as being rather anti-social and in many cases rather dangerous. Think of the Uni-Bomber, the shooters at Columbine High School, the shooter in the Arizona shooting two weeks ago. All those people were loners who sought autonomy but ended up lashing out at society because they ended up feeling like outcasts.
