The recurring conflict that occurs within the healthcare

Please help me with my grammar and punctuation!!

The recurring conflict that occurs within the healthcare setting that was observed for this paper was an issue with the staffing. It involves a nursing supervisor, two nurses, and several certified nursing assistants in a skilled nursing facility specifically in a long-term care division. Nurse #1 unexpectedly called the nursing supervisor notifying her that she would not be able to come to work due to an emergency reason and she stated that she won't be able to come to work for a couple of days as well. Even though the nursing supervisor understood the situation, she was still dismayed about the nurse #1 taking an emergency vacation because there is already a shortage in the staff. The nursing supervisor has decided to increase the amount of workload of nurse #2 because there's not enough nurses present in the facility. Originally, the nurse #2 has the hall of twenty-five patients to take care of, but now that the other nurse had called in, she has now two halls to take care of for that shift that is composed of more than fifty patients. The certified nursing assistants in the facility have their own daily routine to follow and it will be challenging to delegate the task on them especially if some of them are intermittently missing in action. The schedule for that day was tremendously hectic. More than six call lights were on at the same time and nurse #2 had to run back and forth to assist the needs of the patients. The nurse was on the other hall when she heard the alarm went off. The nurse checked the room and discovered that the patient fell off her bed. Because of the copious amount of workload that she was assigned with, it was intensely challenging to manage her time and to be consistently efficient. The nurse then began doing assessments and notified the nursing supervisor. The patient was taken by an ambulance immediately.

This type of conflict is a mixed of individual conflict and intergroup/organizational conflict. Individual conflict, as it was mentioned in the introductory paragraph, is when the staff members have no idea of the responsibilities of other staff, this can create distress and it can affect the work of an individual (Finkelman, 2016). There is some confusion on the roles in the situation. The nursing assistants in this situation did not feel responsible about the situation because the nurse did not delegate various tasks on them. However, it was demanding to delegate because of the nursing assistants venturing to avoid the increased amount of work. This type of conflict can also be identified as an intergroup and organization conflict because the team did not communicate as much as they are required to sustain the actual conflict. This type of conflict has the superior potential to affect patient care because there is a lack of collaboration in the team.
