The real human chromosomes

An assignment on identifying the karyotypes...so i identified all of them and found the chromosomes totaled 47 and there was an extra one at sec 18....and i identified it to be a female..i then know its a trisomy 18 - edwards syndrome....my question is how will i know the abnormalities in the number of sex chromosomes...like if its XO - turner syndrome or what...thats part of my question...since it is identified to be trisomy 18 my assignment is to draw a diagram of meiosis (using only 2 or 3 chromeos) to show how such condition could arise...thats my main assignment and comparing this with the real human chromosomes...are they large and why would it be more difficult working with them
