Question- The reaction of bromoethane with sodium hydroxide in water forms methanol. If sodium iodide is added to the reaction mixture the rate o fmethanol formation is dramatically increased ( i.e. sodium iodide is a catalyst) write out the pathway that accounts for the effect of added sodium iodide.
