You will create a research paper for this course. The paper will be constructed in parts beginning with the title page, a one-page discussion addressing the rationale for your selection of the topic, and a references page.

Title Page

The Final Paper requires a current APA-formatted title page.

• The title pagemustinclude the running head and page number inside the top header. Be sure to refer to the attached Title Pg. example and the APA formatting guides in my Help Corner. Points are deducted for incorrectly formatted running heads and title page information.

• Other required information you must include in the title page is the title of the paper, student name, and institutional affiliation.

Topic Rationale

1. Select a topic related to the human services profession for further research. Examples include poverty, homelessness, child welfare, teen pregnancy, or nontraditional families.

2. Write a 250-350-word rationale describing why you chose your topic.

3. The rationale should be organized in two to three paragraphs. Describe your personal reasons for selecting the topic in paragraph one.

Describe professional, systemic, or global reasons for selecting the topic and how the topic applies to the human services profession in the remaining paragraphs.

4. You must provide a minimum of three in-text citations to three different references, written in correct APA 6th format.

APA 6th edition Research Assignment Requirements

All research assignments must include a title page and a reference page, as well as the weekly assigned section of the paper. This week, you will submit the following three pages.

1. Title Page (p.1)
2. Topic Rationale (p.2)
3. References (p.3)

Use Times New Roman 12 Font and double space throughout the paper, including the references.
