Can you tell me what you think the key components of informed consent are in the provision of healthcare?Would there be any examples from your specialty where consent is not obtained prior to treatment or care?

Do you think issues like paternalism is ethically justifiable in healthcare treatment.Is it easy or how easy is it for members of the nursing profession to advocate for a patient or client? Particularly if you believe adequate consent was not obtained for a particular treatment.
