AA/NA Support Group Meeting Attend an "open" Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meeting at the location of your choice.

• Complete a 2-page (double space, Times New Roman 12- font) review of and reaction to your experience. The purpose of the assignment involves witnessing firsthand what it is like to attend this type of intervention. Hopefully you will see how addition impacts people's lives.
Perhaps, if necessary, you could refer someone to AA. You must include the following in your paper:
• Title page
o Date, Time, Location and First Name of the facilitator of the meeting at the top of page one.
• Introduction
o You may want to begin by stating the goals and purpose of AA/NA.
• Your experience at the meeting
o Please do not simply summarize the events of the AA/NA meeting. Talk about your experience, how you felt and
• Effectiveness of AA
o Describe what you learned, the extent to which you think AA/NA is effective and why, what you liked about the meeting and what you think could be improved.
For example, you could discuss the pros and cons associated with having the meeting run by exclusively lay persons.
