The process of developing a logic model

The process of developing a logic model requires program planners and stakeholders to think systematically about what it is they want to accomplish and how they plan to do it. It also gives planners and stakeholders the flexibility to think through many different strategies or scenarios until they find the one that seems to works best. I've often done this in brainstorming sessions with some of my grant clients. Why might such sessions be advantageous in the success of the proposed program?
