Management wants to study the drive-thru at a number of Burger Queen (BQ) restaurants during the peak hours of 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. The process works as follows. Cars arrive and line up to place an order. It’s been observed that the time between car arrivals can be approximated by an exponential distribution with a mean of 2.3 minutes. The time to place an order is also roughly exponentially distributed and takes a mean of 2 minutes per car. Cars then move forward to a single window, at which they pay and pick up their order. The amount of time a car sits at the pay/pick-up window can be approximated by an exponential distribution with a mean of 2.2 minutes. The process map and SimQuick® simulation table are shown below. What is the average arrival rate per hour to the process?

A. About 26 customers per hour

B. About 66.23 customers per hour

C. About 13.13 customers per hour

D. About 79.36 customers per hour
