Prepare a paper on Problem of poverty and unemployment in sub-Saharan Africa
Literature Review
The problem of poverty and unemployment in sub-Saharan Africa has been a major one for a very long time now. There have been many sustainable programs such as microfinancing, provision of tools and seeds and literacy education that have been tried to reform measures but some have failed miserably. Most people have a pessimistic view of these programs, and the steps taken have never been up to the mark. There are many places like Tanzania and Nigeria that have been earmarked to understand the levels of poverty and why it has been so for a very long duration, and many similarities have been drawn. In the sub-Saharan African region is very important to comprehend why poverty and unemployment still exist in certain areas until now.
Some steps that were taken by the United Nations (UN) are as follows;
(a) Eradication of hunger and poverty
(b) Achieve universal primary education
(c) Reduce child mortality
(d) Gender equality
(e) Improve maternal health
(f) Combating HIV /AIDS
(g) Global partnership in various development program
