The upper and lower conducting pltes of a large parallel plate capacitor are separeted by distance d and maintanied at potentials V0 and 0 respectively. a dilectric slab of dielectric constant 6.0 and uniform thickness 0.8d is placed over the lower plate. assuming negligible fringing efect, determine the following by sloving laplace equations: a) the potential and electric field distribution in the dilectric slab. b) the potential and electric feild distrivution in the air space between the dilectric slab and the upper plate and c) the surface change densities on the upper and lower plates?
