The other way of safeguarding against corruption or bloated bureaucracy is to have these candidates backgrounds thoroughly investigated before allowing them to run for office, as we are seeing to much today, a lot of skeletons our falling out of the closets on these so called up standing candidates such as: child molestation, sexual harassment claims, money being hid in off shore accounts and shady business tactics just to name of view.
