One of these organisations is the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority (lHPA). What does the Act say is the objective of the lHPA? What are the functions of lHPA? Health care needs to be considered in terms of quality and safety as well as volume. Conditions which prevailed at Mid-Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust remind us that manager’s play a vital role in ensuring care is of the highest possible standard. According to the Francis and Ben/Vick Reports what did the managers at Mid Staffordshire not do well? Is there the risk of similar management failure in Australia? Why or why not?
