The most important tool in monitoring and determining the success of a project is communication. Communication is what sets the clear objectives for the people involved to follow. By having quick touch base meetings and communicating any issues or concerns that is what helps resolve conflict quickly. Also by communicating with others involved with the project everyone can stay up to date on the progress of the project. When monitoring a project being able to talk, email, or text someone to get a quick answer is the most effective way to monitor the status of a project. Communication does not start and stop with one section of the project. Communication is throughout every group and subgroup so everyone is on the same page. Being able to communicate ensures that the information is getting where it needs to go quickly. Word of mouth is sometimes better than waiting on a report to generate. A group can come together and update each other on their specific areas and if they met the objectives and in the allotted time frame. The groups can also utilize reporting tools when communicating to others to show evidence of success.
