The Mormon church is a relatively new religion compared to the religions we have studied in this class. The interesting thing, in my opinion, is that there are some who consider Mormonism a cult. Molloy describes a cult as something that, "brings to mind a charismatic, overly powerful leader, docile followers, and separation from society." What do you all think about "cults" in our society. Do you think the term is too negative to describe some religions? Do you think the term is appropriate for some religions? Why or why not?
