(Helge Berger,2001) There were a lot of short term economic problems in 1848. Having a serious shortfall on food from 1845-1847. There was economic misery and fear that triggered the European revolutions of 1848. The biggest known cause was Nationalism and this is because many different people wanted to establish their own independence.
