The last set of transformations which we're going to be looking at in this section isn't shifts, but in spite of they are called reflections & there are two of them.

Reflection about the x-axis

Given the graph of f ( x ) then the graph of g ( x ) = - f ( x ) is the graph of f ( x ) reflected about the x-axis. It means that the signs on the all the y coordinates are altered to the opposite sign.

Reflection about the y-axis

Illustrated the graph of f ( x ) then the graph of g ( x ) = f ( - x ) is the graph of f ( x ) reflected around the y-axis. It means that the signs on the all of the x coordinates are altered to the opposite sign.
