The james bond movie for 1964 was goldfinger. The plot was quite simple: gold tycoon Auric Goldfinger tried to detonate an atomic bomb inside the U.S. Bullion Depository in Fort Knox, thus rendering the gold worthless for decades. Presumably this would raise the price of gold and increase the value of Goldfingers own gold. Fort nox was a place where the U.S held on to gold and kept it off the market. Does the goldfinger plan make any sense?
