The issue of what species these individuals are is not

This article does a very good job discussion cannibalism by one of our ancestral species: A topic that is often sensationalized in the mass-media. In this article they refer to a species calledHomo antecessor which we don't discuss in class because some anthropologists believe they are simply Homo erectus or Homo heidelbergensis and not a separate species.

The issue of what species these individuals are is not important for the article but rather I'd like you to focus on their discussion of the anthropology of cannibalism. Discuss how archaeologists categorize and classify the types of cannibalism and how the evidence in the article suggests what type of cannibalism was being performed at Gran Dolina. Then I'd like you to write a reaction to the article. Your reaction paper should then be uploaded here to Blackboard.

Please use the SAA citation style for journal articles when citing this article in your Works Cited list. Even though it's the only article you'll be referencing it's good practice to include this.
