I have do the have the novel One Foot in Eden. I have to submit a journal entry on 1 of 2 topics 1) The importance history plays in the novel and does the history seem to add meaning to the novel or 2) What is the importance of family and of lineage in this novel.
I think I'd prefer number 1 because I feel like the importance is the fact that the author was born in 1953 in South Carolina and his novel is set in the 1950s in South Carolina. I just have a very hard time writing and putting my thoughts on paper
