You will be giving a presentation to the class on biography of one of the greatest physicists or astronomers and their discoveries. Choose one of the Scientists, using the listbelow. Only one person per Scientist, so first come, first assigned.
You will be giving a 6-minute presentation on one of our classes. Youwill be reporting on:
1. Basic biography information: place and date of birth, parents
2. Education, teachers, scientific school he/she belongs to
3. Most important discoveries with short descriptions
4. Famous students and their discoveries
5. Any facts you found interesting
Practice it orally to make sure you fit the time limit.
Use PowerPoint for your presentation. Plan for a minimum of 6 and maximum of about 10 slides. When it is ready upload your presentation (PPT or PDF file) to the Blackboard.

Presentation Tips
1. Mention at least one thing that was interesting for you personally
2. Talk to your audience (not to the screen) - keep eye contact
3. Practice at least one time with a stopwatch at home
4. Combine text and pictures, people like nice pictures
5. A little bit of humor is always a plus (but not too much)
6. Show your personality - avoid templates
7. Choose appropriate fonts - not too small, not too large
8. For a small presentation do not use video/audio
9. Put simple, concise statements on your slides; don't discuss too many details - it's a 6 min presentation
