The goal of this project is to apply project management

The goal of this project, is to apply project management skills to a real-world situation.

To accomplish this goal, you will conduct an in-depth analysis of the application of project management concepts in the provided case study.

The analysis should be organized into five parts:

  • Project selection and initiation
  • Project scope, planning, and time management
  • Project implementation and execution
  • Project monitoring and controlProject closure and the closing stage

This case study analysis is designed to assess the application of project management principles and concepts:

  • Describe the factors that lead to the effective management of projects
  • Explain how projects, programs, and portfolios help organizations coordinate their work and meet objectives
  • Identify the multiple roles and responsibilities associated with a project
  • Master several basic project       management techniques, including net present value, work breakdown       structure,
  •  critical path method, resource-constrained scheduling, project       crashing, and earned value management
  • Recognize  the different phases and stages of a project and explain how they can
  • be  integrated to improve organizational performance
  • Identify the necessary skills for effective team development and leadership
  • Apply project process and tools for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the project

P present your analysis of the case study in the steps of the project life cycle. Simply providing

descriptive information without discussing the critical concepts, theories, and management aspects of the project would not be sufficient.

Consider building on the case studies you have already completed (Case Study One and Case Study Two / SEE ATTACHMENT).

Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:

  • Project Selection, Initiation, and Prioritization Evaluation
  • Apply advanced tools and techniques for project selection and initiation.
    • Evaluate weighted and unweighted models.
    • Evaluate ranking and prioritization of project proposals.
    • Evaluate initiation and planning processes.
    • Evaluate project/organizational structures.
  • Project Scope, Planning, and Time Management Evaluation
  •  Evaluate team effectiveness while handling organizational conflicts and pressures.
    • Evaluate the creation of the work breakdown structure.
    • Evaluate the project manager's compression of the project schedule.
    • Evaluate the project cost and schedule variances.
  • Project Implementation and Execution Evaluation
  • Evaluate the project manager's role in executing project tasks and managing change.
  • Evaluate communication and reporting implementation to maintain stakeholder buy-in.
    • Evaluate implementation and execution processes.
  • Project Monitoring and Control Evaluation
  • Evaluate the monitoring and control processes of the project, providing a detailed analysis.
  • Project Closure and Closing Stage Evaluation
  • Evaluate project closure and the closing stage, providing a detailed analysis.
