Majority of terrorists consider themselves as freedom fighters. They use this to legitimize terrorism, but, it is impossible to label one as a freedom fighter and as a terrorist at the same time (Wardlaw, 1989). On the other hand, it is very hard to come into terms with what motivates suicide bombers. Many people think it is their religion. This has hindered policy makers in efforts to combat terrorism

1. What is the concept behind the phrase that “one person’s terrorist is another person’s freedom fighter” and does this legitimize terrorism?

2. Are suicide bombers psychologically unstable or what exactly motivates them?

Two questions about “The Gay Liberation Movement” by John, D’Emilio.

A lot of people experience their sexual longings as something that they have no control over. Therefore to them people are born gay or lesbian or bisexual and they deserve no punishment for that. However, most religions stand on to the concept that people choose to be gay. After the first gay riot to ever happen in history, Stonewall Riot, ended, a confrontational politics arose (D’Emilio, 2009). This type of politics involved expression of dissatisfaction from the current government by the homosexuals and how they were oppressed.

1. The concept that sexuality is fixed at birth or at an early age and, that sexuality is not fluid raises the question whether people are born gay, lesbian or bisexual and whether they should be punished for it?

2. How has the “The Gay Liberation Movement” influenced individual and political structure?
