The Future of Delinquency Prevention
Over the past five modules, you have learned about the origins, history, and trends of juvenile delinquency. You have also explored some of the theoretical explanations for juvenile delinquency and the way the juvenile justice system works in a practical sense to address delinquency.
Write in a minimum of 250 words, answer the following:
- Given what you have learned about delinquency, state your opinions about the future of delinquency prevention and control efforts. Do you see the juvenile justice system being used more to punish delinquents or rehabilitate them?
- Of parents, courts, law enforcement, and educators, explain who you think will play the more prominent role in future delinquency prevention efforts.
