The deckers clothing company produces shirts and pants each

The Deckers Clothing Company produces shirts and pants. Each shirt requires 2 yards of cloth and each pair of pants requires 3 yards of cloth. During the next two months the following demands for shirts and pants must be met on time: Month 1, 140,000 shirts and 180,000 pairs of pants; Month 2, 140,000 shirts and 180,000 pairs of pants. During Month 1 1,200,000 yards of cloth are available for purchase, and 900,000 yards of cloth is available for purchase in Month 2. Of course, Deckers can elect to purchase less than these amounts. In each month it costs $4 to make an article of clothing on regular time and $6 to make an article of clothing on overtime. Additionally, only 400,000 articles of clothing can be produced in each month on regular time, but an unlimited number can be produced on overtime. At the end of each month a holding cost of $2 per article of clothing is assessed. Formulate and solve the mathematical programming model to determine how to meet demand for shirts and pants at the minimum possible cost. Assume there are 10,000 shirts and 20,000 pairs of pants available in inventory at the beginning of Month 1.
