The ceo explains that the company has never used a standard

You are a successful HR consultant with a client who desperately needs your help. One of your clients, Barrett Manufacturing, has recently lost their Vice President of Human Resources to one of their competitors. The previous Vice President had been with the company for 20 years, working her way up from a staffing specialist, all the way to an executive position. She was highly respected and a trailblazer in the field as one of the few women who served in an executive role in manufacturing.

The CEO of Barrett Manufacturing retains you to help the company move forward.

Your Assignment: The CEO explains that the company has never used a standard hiring process for hiring executives. In the past, they simply promoted from within or relied on referrals from other executives in the company. You are now tasked with devising an effective hiring process for a new Vice President of Human Resources. The CEO has three (3) priorities with this process:

The entire process, from the time a position is posted to the day of hire, can be no longer than sixty (60) days;

Current HR employees in the company are free to apply, but the CEO does not feel like any of them are ready for a promotion;

The CEO wants the process to identify the candidate who is best suited to “hit the ground running” and continue the transformational work of the previous Vice President.

The CEO has asked for a memo detailing the ideal hiring process to meet the priorities of the CEO and needs of the company. The CEO is willing to spend whatever it takes to get the best candidate for the job. Explain why you think the various components of your hiring process will lead to a successful candidate.
