"You are a port security officer. A person of interest was brought to your office on a Monday morning, at 0745am, after being apprehended in a building that is off-limits to unauthorized personnel. Security cameras confirmed this person piggy-back into the building at 0630am, bypassing physical security controls. It is unknown what this person was doing once in the building because there are no internal video cameras. This person had in their possession a small video camera and it was confirmed he/she was in the building for approximately one hour before being reported and apprehended. The building in question is where the port's communications and information systems reside, adding to the security breach concerns."
I am to make a mock interview with the suspect and am curious what authority Port Security has. Can they make an arrest? And at this point, would the suspect be arrested for burglary or just interviewed?
