Describes the objective and analysis method of research.

Requirements:

1) To use M-Plus 7 to test the relationship between the level-2 dependent variable work group performance ( M-plus variable name TPmajor) and the level-1 independent variable transformational leadership (M-plus variable name Tformmaj which is the major scale of the transformational leadership).

In doing this analysis it is important to use the latent variable multilevel models described in section 3.6.2 in the attached document.

2) if significant relationship is detected between work group performance and transformational leadership's major scale (Tformmaj), then work group performance (TPmajor) to be tested on each of the transformational leadership subscales ; Idealised influence (attributed) (Tformatt), Idealised influence (behavioural)(Tformbeh), Individualised consideration(Tformcon), Inspirational motivation (Tformmot), and Intellectual stimulation(Tformsti).

3) The analysis should consider random slope model, and variance between random intercept and random slope.

4) The expected deliverables are:

a) A full report is needed at the end of the analysis to describe the following:

- Model fit and supporting argument for fitting the models.

- The strength of the relationship.

- Description of the relationship between the random slope and random intercept effects on the relationship between dependent and independent variables.

- Explanation of the variance between the random slopes and random intercepts cross the work groups.

- Tables of Model fit statistics and model results presented and explained.

b) The M-PLus file with the result analysis.

I also attach my data set in M-Plus format which is ready to run straightaway.

In addition, I enclosed the run of the null model so that you can see all the M-plus variables names and the conditions of the analysis that I want to do.
