Americans with Disabilities Act Enabling Technologies
The Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in regard to public accommodations and commercial facilities. This act has been interpreted to include certain information systems as well. All information systems development projects should take ADA issues into consideration during development. Accommodating employees and customers with disabilities must never become an afterthought. Even if you do not presently have physical limitations, you may either have limitations in the future or have employees under your supervision who require special tools to enable access to information systems.
