Test of manual dexterity


Four research participants take a test of manual dexterity (high scores mean better dexterity) and an anxietyl test (high scores mean more anxiety). The score are as follows.

a.) make a skatter diagram of the scores

b.) describe in words the general pattern of correlation, if any

c.) configure correlation coefficient

d.) figure wether the correlation is statistically significant (use .05 level, two tailed).

e.) explain the ligic of what you have done, writing as if the person you are writing to has never heard of correlation, but someone who understands mean, deviation score, and hypothesis testing.

f.) give 3 logically possible directions of casualty indicating for each direction whether it is a reasonable explination for the correlation in light of the variables involved, and y.
