SARA
SARA stands for Scanning, Analysis, Research, and Assessment. It is a process that can be used for different programs within a community policing effort. Using the SARA model, explain how you would solve an issue, i.e. kids hanging around at night, trash left out, auto body shop working late at night located next door to an elderly housing complex, etc.
The requirements for your paper are:

The student will identify and develop a unit that will reflect an up and coming issue. The unit could be for example, terrorism, technology issues, social media, etc. This is your choice. The theme of the paper is that you are establishing a new unit within an agency.
The paper will include:
Function: what will the new unit accomplish?
Job Descriptions/Duties and Responsibilities: What criteria will be established for the personnel of the unit to be selected? What are the duties and responsibilities of the unit?
Of the personnel?
Reporting: Who in the agencies organization will the unit report?
Equipment: What will be needed?
Other: Any other issues you feel need to be addressed.
