Read one of the following books from the chart below. As you read, take notes, not full sentences, over the following:
1. The Author. Research the background of the author. Include where they are from, education and what he/she is doing now.
2. Summary of each chapter. In one paragraph of 3-4 sentences, summarize each chapter. This will serve to refresh your memory on the day of the test. All forensic information will go in the other sections, not here. After each short summary, add any of the following that pertains to that chapter.
a. Terminology-write down forensic related words and their definitions that you did NOT know.
b. Famous in their Field-list other forensic experts and their contribution(s), as described in the book and from additional research.
c. Forensic equipment and / or technology. Go beyond the book. What does this equipment do? What does it look like? How is it used? In what types of cases is it used? What significance does the technique serve in a criminal investigation?
d. Forensic techniques. How is this technique performed? When is it used? What is its significance to a case?
e. Limitations of evidence and ethical responsibilities linked to decision-making. Look for specific cases.
3. Quotes:Write down two or more of the most important or powerful lines in the book WITH FORENSICSIGNIFICANCE.
